Please take a moment to watch this video by His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. The Metropolis of Chicago announced recently it had exceeded its $250,000 fundraising goal for the COVID-19 Parish Relief Fund. To date, $138,613 has been distributed to 10 parishes most affected by the pandemic. 100% of all monies raised by the Metropolis will go directly to parishes in need.
Semester of Faith
A wonderful opportunity for short-term study at Hellenic College. Students take college-level courses that enrich their spiritual lives and help them complete their bachelor’s degrees while living in a very special Orthodox Christian community. In addition to courses on religion, there are liberal arts courses in a wide range of subjects, from literature and history to science and business. Click at the link below for more info.
Hellenic Legal
With the help of the Hellenic Foundation and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, the Hellenic Bar Association is starting a pro bono clinic for our community. This clinic will meet on a monthly basis (the second Saturday of every month) to provide Greek Americans in the Chicago-land area with access to legal information, referrals and potential representation in a linguistically and culturally sensitive environment.
