HVAC Project

Dear beloved stewards, Pythagoras Greek School and Guardian Angel
Orthodox Day School families, and friends of Saint John the Baptist,
After 60 years of use, the time to replace our heating, ventilation
and air conditioning (HVAC) system has come.
As you may or may not be aware, the HVAC units that maintain the air quality
and temperature of the Community Center at St. John the Baptist in the
Great Hall (gym), kitchen, “blue room,” Resurrection chapel, and connecting area must be replaced.
Last spring, they began to fail, and all academic and other activities were affected, especially during times of extreme temperatures. Everyone’s comfort in our spiritual home is impacted by these units’ effectiveness.
Three bids were sought, and we chose the lowest bid from a trusted contractor. The total cost will be $250,000 for two units. Further details are available on our parish website.
We must pay half as a deposit, with the remainder due upon delivery. Time is of the essence.
We appreciate everyone supporting this effort as well as they are able. Each of us is asked to contribute as they are able in order to reach our goal, and all gifts are greatly appreciated.
May our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ continue to bless you and your family for many seasons to come!
Rev. Fr. John Rallis, Protopresbyter and John Strubulis, Parish Council President
P.S. - We ask for your reply by the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, if possible, so that we can cover the cost of this project before it is critically needed during the summer months. Thank you!
